Hi!! I would think that she would need a baton that is a little past her finger tips!! If you think it would help get her the skinny minis for her little fingers!! The star tips and balls are best for beginners because they don't roll as far as just the round ends!! I hope this helped and I know that she will be great because the earlier you start the better you will have a chance at Nationals! I should know!! Bye ya!! O========O
