As for starting a team, this website has a great section called SpiritU that offers Basics classes for cheerleading, drill team, etc. They are great for new or prospective coaches because not only do they cover a lot of basic things that new coaches are typically surprised by, but you also have a very experienced instructor who can help you cater the class to your own unique situation and needs.
: : As for those of you who are overseas...the class will be helpful for you too as well as the videos they sell. They have videos on everything from planning effective practices to choreography videos to instructional videos.
