that' great that you're trying out - good luck!

As for advice - I would say go with an open mind and work hard. I don't know what skill level the guard is at, but don't be afraid to ask questions. I instruct a high school, and I don't look a whole lot for skill at auditions, since the girls are just learning how to spin. How fast they pick up new work is important, but mostly I look for hard work and positive attitude.
