En Croix is an organization currently forming to promote the Christian spirit within the dance/drill team industry (pronounced, ahn kwah, meaning "in the shape of the cross"). There is no charge or required membership fee. Members will receive a suggested monthly meeting topic and resources for inviting in guest speakers (MADD, SADD, local church organizations, FCA, Young Life, etc.) or creating liturgical dance groups at their church. Member T-shirt, membership card and identification patch are also available. The website offers weekly inspirational and motivational messages, and post testimonials or questions of need to the interactive forum. The National Federation Interscholastic Spirit Association (NFISA) was formed in 1988 to provide services to coaches of junior and senior high school spirit teams (i.e. cheerleaders, pom, dance, drill team). TDDTEA provides a variety of benefits to you, your dance team, and your dance students. We offer a professionally run convention in January with workshops on dance curriculum, dance technique, ideas (motivational and choreography), judging certification, and many others. Our convention gives you the opportunity to meet and share ideas with others in your field. We also have an attorney on retainer who is just a phone call away for sound legal advice. TDDTEA also publishes an informative newsletter several times throughout the year. In September, we send out a membership directory with phone numbers and addresses of members and all of the exhibitors who attend our convention.
