Experience: I received a dance education from Huntingdon College where I studied various techniques and choreography and attended on a dance scholarship. I choreographed several pieces in college including modern, ballet, tap, and jazz. I also have 21 years of dance training and experience including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, and Flamenco. I have also studied Gymnastics and Figure Skating. Formerly, I was a dance team instructor for Universal Dance Association. I am currently the primary instructor/choreographer for BJ's Dance Factory in Smiths, AL where I choreograph all performance and competition routines. I have been the primary teacher/choreographer there for the past 8 years. I have also trained and choreographed for several other dance teams outside of my UDA experience include the Smiths Station High School Pantherettes (Smiths, AL), Glenwood High School Gatorettes (Phenix City, AL), Opelika High School (Opelika, AL), and Southern Union Junior College (Wadley, AL). I spent my high school career as choreographer of the dance team for three years, captain my last. I also attend dance conventions such as Tremaine and Co.Dance on a regular basis where my choreography and dancers have earned numerous awards. I was formerly a "Golden Girl" for the Columbus Indians in Columbus, GA where I choreographed several performances. I have also been a member of several other performing dance companies including the Springer Ballet Company, Georgia's Dancin' Machine, and DancEffects. I have performed in hundreds of shows over the years including Super Bowl XXVI, several musicals, and was selected to dance in the '96 Olympics. I served as Dance Captain in my performance of 'A Chorus Line' at the Springer Opera House in Columbus, GA. I have also competed in numerous competitions locally, regionally, and nationally where I have earned numerous trophies. , My choreography includes Jazz/Funk, Hip Hop, Pom, High Kick, and Lyrical for dance teams of all ages. Awards etc.: As a member of the Southern Union Junior College dance team, I choreographed our competition routines for NCA Danz in which I was awarded an NCA Danz Collegiate All Star Award. Most recently, my dancers brought home a High 2nd Place with my Jazz choreography at the Stage One Productions competition in Atlanta, GA. My choreography also earned a trophy last year at the Co. Dance convention in Birmingham, AL. My choreography won the talent award and ultimately the crown of Miss Phenix City 1996 (Phenix City, AL). My choreography was also seen at the Miss Alabama Pageant in Birmingham, AL where I was awarded several scholarships.

My high school dance team experience earned me awards as American All Star, Universal All Star (UDA), International Dance Star (IDA), and NCA Danz Collegiate All Star (NCA).
